10 Years Later: A Minneapolis Audio Walking Tour In Prince’s Footsteps (VoiceMap)

April 21, 2026 will mark the 10-year anniversary of the passing of Prince Rogers Nelson. There will be a massive celebration at Paisley Park. Fans will flood into Minneapolis. The city will mourn like it hasn’t since 2016.

A few years after Prince died, I created this audio walking tour. It passes in his footsteps (literally) through downtown Minneapolis. You’ll pass movie sets, photo shoots, the club where Prince kept a private table, small and large venues where he played, and the guitar store where bought his first electric guitar: In the Footsteps of Prince: Downtown Minneapolis Walking Tour.

Throughout, I tried to give a sense of Prince’s life arc, but also of what makes him so singular and dear to those of us in Minneapolis. Of all the tours I’ve created, this is the best-loved and most highly-rated.

As it happened, I still have a some tour credits left to sell, which will expire soon, for $5 each. (less than the $15 retail). If you’re interested in this walk down memory lane (and Nicollet Avenue), please contact me at frankbures@yahoo.com. You can download the tour now and do it whenever you want. You can even do it virtually from wherever you are.

If you’re interested, in that, or any of my other tours, please shoot me a note. You can find them all here: https://voicemap.me/publisher/frank-bures
